Racer One Stop (Virtual) - Student Instructions

Before accessing the virtual Racer One Stop, please take note of the following:

• Have a photo ID ready or the answer to your Consent to Release security question.
• You do not need to create a Zoom account to participate. You will be automatically directed to the Zoom meeting by clicking the meeting link.
• If you can, ensure you’re in a place with a strong internet connection. 
• Students will be assisted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please be prepared to wait in the waiting room to be seen. Students will be assisted as quickly and efficiently as possible. We don’t advise that you leave the meeting and re-join, as you will lose your place in the queue.
• Please ensure that your correct name that matches your student records is displayed upon entering the Zoom meeting.

To rename yourself in the meeting on a desktop:

1. Click on “Participant"
2. Find your name and click “More”
3. Select “Rename” and enter a new display name.

Steps for participating in Racer OneStop:

1. Join the Zoom meeting by click on the link to the meeting

2. You will be placed in a virtual waiting room, as indicated by the screen below. Note: This may take some time as there may be a number of students ahead of you being/waiting to be seen. We appreciate your patience! 

3. Upon being admitted to the Zoom meeting, you will be assigned to a separate, secured breakout room. When the window appears asking you to join, click “Join” (See screenshot below) a specialist will join you in a secure meeting room, where they can assist you. You will have the opportunity to speak to specialists from a variety of areas.  Again, we appreciate your patience if you have to wait, as specialists may be assisting other students ahead of you.

4. When you are finished, you will leave the Zoom meeting by clicking “Leave Meeting” or be removed from the meeting.
