Known Issues and Mitigation
Oversized call progress box
- When a call is answered the box that appears with the connected call is larger and obscures shared lines. Pressing “back” on your phone will hide the call progress for other lines to be visible.
Screen Timeout
- The main screen on 8851 phones will go dark when idle. Calls can still be placed and received, the screen will wake up on a button press.
- This should be more adjustable in a future update.
- We are configuring this for 30-60mins to alleviate the issue.
Missed call/Voicemail handset indicator
- The red light on the handset will illuminate for shared lines if there is a missed call or voicemail.
- You can select that shared line and view the missed calls to clear this out.
- For now, it maybe best to ignore the illumination and refer to the display for missed calls/voicemails for your extension.
Shared Lines ringing
By default calls to shared lines will also audibly ring to your phone. To disable:
- Click the Gear icon (settings)
- Select 4 (User Preferences) > Select 5 (Ringtone) > Select the line you want to mute > Select No Rington > Press softkey for set
