Print in Color or Single-Sided Using CampusPrint

Summary

By default, CampusPrint printers are set up to print in black and white, and duplex (2-sided) printing. To be able to print in color, or using single-sided printing, please use the following instructions.

Body

By default, CampusPrint printers are set up to print in black and white, and duplex (2-sided) printing. To be able to print in color, or using single-sided printing, please use the following instructions. 

NOTE: Uploading a file to the CampusPrint website, and emailing a file to msu.campusprint@murraystate.edu will not allow color printing or single-sided printing. 

 

Google Chrome

Google Chrome’s default Print dialog box will not allow you to submit jobs in color or as single-sided papers, regardless of which options you select. To bypass Chrome’s default print options:

  1. Open the Chrome Menu by clicking the icon in the upper right corner (three vertical dots).
  2. Click “Print” (or use the Ctrl+P keyboard shortcut).
  3. On the default Print dialog box, click on “Print using system dialog…(Ctrl+Shift+P)” link at the bottom of the left menu.
  4. In the “Select Printer” section, make sure “CampusPrint” is selected, or choose “CampusPrint” from the list.
  5. Click the “Preferences” button.
  6. To change from duplex (2-sided) to single (1-sided), select “Off” from the “2-sided” dropdown list.
  7. To change from Black and White to Color, select “Color” from the “Color/Black and White” dropdown list.
  8. Click “OK”.
  9. Then click “Print”.

 

Internet Explorer

  1. Click on the cog/gear icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Click “Print”, then “Print…” (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+P).
  3. In the “Select Printer” section, make sure “CampusPrint” is selected, or choose “CampusPrint” from the list.
  4. Click the “Preferences” button.
  5. To change from duplex (2-sided) to single (1-sided), select “Off” from the “2-sided” dropdown box.
  6. To change from Black and White to Color, select “Color” from the “Color/Black and White” dropdown list.
  7. Click “OK”.
  8. Then click “Print”.

 

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click on the menu icon in the upper right corner (three horizontal dots).
  2. Click “Print”.
  3. In the “Printer” dropdown list, make sure “CampusPrint” is selected, or choose “CampusPrint” from the list.
  4. Click “More settings” at the bottom.
  5. To change from duplex (2-sided) to single (1-sided), select “Print on one side” from the “Duplex printing” dropdown list.
  6. To change from Black and White to Color, select “Color” from the “Color mode” dropdown list.
  7. Click “OK”.
  8. Then click “Print”.

 

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click on the menu icon in the upper right corner (three horizontal lines).
  2. Click the “Print” button, then “Print…” on the left (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+P).
  3. From the Printer Name dropdown list, make sure “CampusPrint” is selected, or choose “CampusPrint” from the list.
  4. Click the “Properties” button.
  5. To change from duplex (2-sided) to single (1-sided), select “Off” from the “2-sided” dropdown list.
  6. To change from Black and White to Color, select “Color” from the “Color/Black and White” dropdown list.
  7. Click “OK”.
  8. Then click “Print”.

 

Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint

From any Microsoft Office application….

  1. Click on “File” in the ribbon toolbar.
  2. Click “Print” to bring up the Print menu.
  3. From the Printer dropdown list, make sure “CampusPrint” is selected, or choose “CampusPrint” from the list.
  4. Click the “Printer Properties” button.
  5. To change from duplex (2-sided) to single (1-sided), select “Off” from the “2-sided” dropdown list.
  6. To change from Black and White to Color, select “Color” from the Color/Black and White” dropdown list.
  7. Click “OK”.
  8. Then click “Print".
