If your Kentucky school blocks Google applications but you still want to check your RacerMail account at school with your Live@Edu account, you can use one of the following options.
Option 1 (recommended): Add your RacerMail address to your Live@Edu account. If you do not have access to an internet connection outside of school, this option will work for you to receive RacerMail in your school email account.
- Log in to your Windows Live (Live@Edu) email account at https://mail.kyschools.us
- From the Inbox view, click on the Options menu at the far, top-right corner of the screen.
- Click See All Options...
- Click Accounts from the list at the left.
- Click Connected Accounts, then New...
- Enter your full RacerMail address (example: jdoe23@murraystate.edu) and password.
- Click Next.
- If you receive a message about unsecure connections, select Yes to continue.
- You may receive a message saying that Outlook Web App couldn't connect to the server. Click on the link POP in the last sentence to enter in your connection settings.
- New POP Account Connection settings:
- Display Name: (your name as you wish it to appear in outgoing email)
- E-mail address: (your full @murraystate.edu email address)
- User name: (your full @murraystate.edu email address)
- Password: (your full @murraystae.edu email password)
- Leave mail on server: (some schools require you to uncheck this box)
- Incoming server: pop.gmail.com
- Authentication: Basic
- Encryption: SSL
- Port: 995
- Click Save.
- If you are not prompted to add Server information, click on the new account under Connected Accounts and select Details. Make sure the Server Information matches the settings in #10.
- Go to your inbox and open the "E-Mail Connection Verification" email. Click on the link provided to verify your account. This verification will allow you to send email from your @murraystate.edu email address through Outlook.
- Your mail should begin downloading and progress can be seen under Options > See All Options... > Accounts > Connected Accounts. It may take a while for your RacerMail to begin showing up in your school email inbox.
- Click on Mail in the top-left to return to the inbox.

Option 2: Forward your RacerMail to your school email account.
You will need to do this from another computer at home or in a public library that does not block Google applications.
Forwarding instructions can be found on Google's Support Site.
