Enable Java in Browsers

You can test if your system has Java installed using the following link, and get free download if needed. 

You must have JavaScript enabled in your browser.  Test to see if Javascript is enabled in your browser. 

Directions for enabling:

Internet Explorer

  • Click Tools (or the cog icon in the upper right corner) and then Internet Options
  • Select the Security tab, and select the Custom Level button
  • Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets
  • Make sure the Enable radio button is checked
  • Click OK to save your preference
  • You may need to restart your browser

Chrome

  • Click on the Menu icon (3 dots), then select Settings.
  • Scroll down and click Advanced.
  • Under the heading Privacy and security, click Site Settings.
  • Click JavaScript.
  • Click the Allowed toggle.
  • You may need to restart your browser

Firefox

*Please note the below instructions work only for Firefox browser version below 52. Firefox has removed NPAPI plugin support, and therefore Java Plugin cannot be enabled in Firefox browser version 52 and above*

  • At the top of the browser, select the Firefox button (or settings menu in Windows--3 lines).
  • Click Add-ons
  • In the Add-ons Manager tab, select Plugins
  • Click Java (TM) Platform plugin to select it
  • Click on the Enable button (if the button says Disable, Java is already enabled)
  • You may need to restart your browser

Safari

  • On the web browser menu click on the Edit and select Preferences
  • In the Preferences window select the Security tab
  • In the Security tab section Web content mark the Enable JavaScript checkbox
  • Click on the Reload the current page button of the web browser to refresh the page 

Opera

  • Click the Menu button (3 lines).
  • Scroll down and click Go to browser settings.
  • Click the Advanced drop down tab.
  • Under the heading Privacy and security, click Site Settings.
  • Click JavaScript.
  • Click the Allowed toggle.
  • You may need to restart your browser

Microsoft Edge

Edge is always has JavaScript enabled and does not provide an option to disable it.
