The technology support chatbot, located at https://support.murraystate.edu, is designed to help our faculty, staff, and students locate the technology support they need from the Support Site (also called Service Catalog). Based on user questions and prompts, the chatbot will do its best to return helpful information from the knowledge base articles.
Intended Purpose
The primary intended purpose of the support chatbot is to provide technology assistance outside of MSU business hours. While the service catalog and its articles and request forms are available 24/7, the chatbot is here to help you find that information faster and easier. The chatbot can even assist with submitting a support ticket if needed.
This chatbot is not to replace traditional support methods (like phone calls, emails, and in-person support) but to provide another way for our campus community to get assistance.
What to know
This support chatbot is designed to provide information back to you with the resources it has been given access to: the support site articles and Murray State University Information Systems policies.
This chatbot does not have access to personal information, including academic or personnel records.
The support chatbot is a new feature, and Information Systems will continue improving the chatbot’s responses and support capabilities.
