Restricted File Types in Canvas Online Submissions

Students:

If an assignment shows restricted file types as in the example below, but the system will not accept the listed file types, the instructor will need to check the proper formatting for restricting file types.

Instructors:

• Click to edit the Assignment.
• Under the checkbox "Restrict Upload File Types", check for the proper formatting.
• Remember, all file types need to be separated by a comma. There should also be no spaces or period before the file type.
