Change Display (From) Name in RacerMail

RacerMail users can change their display name (what appears in the "From" field of emails you send) in the RacerMail Google mail interface. 

• In RacerMail, click on the "cog" or "gear" icon in the upper right corner, then select See all settings.
• Click the Accounts tab.
• In the Send mail as section, click edit info next to the address.
• In the "Name" section, specify what you'd like your name to be and click Save changes.

This will not change how your name is displayed if someone already has you in their contact list, and it will not change your name when someone is typing your name in the "To" field in a new email after clicking "Compose."

If you are using a mobile device or an email client (such as Outlook) to send email, this will not change the display name for emails sent from those devices/clients.

Username/Email Updates

• Username Change - After having your legal name changed with Murray State University, you may request an update to your MSU username and email address. 
• Change Display (From) Name in RacerMail - RacerMail users can change their display name in the Google interface.

Campus Records Updates (Office Locations and Phone Numbers, Personal Mailing Addresses and Phone Numbers)

• Update Campus Office Location and Phone Number - Employees may request a change to their campus location and office phone number. Please note that email addresses and names will be automatically updated.
• Update Personal Phone Number or Mailing Address in myGate - Faculty, staff, and students can update their personal information in myGate.
