You can easily request services and help online by using MSU’s Service Catalog.

Browsing Services

  1. Click on the gold "Request Assistance" button above.
  2. Browse through the categories to find the service you need.
  3. If the service is requestable online, click on the appropriate button on the right side of the page to access the request form. Your request will be routed to the appropriate technician.

Searching for Services

  1. Click on the gold "Search" button above.
  2. Enter your search criteria in the "Search" field and hit Enter.
  3. Use the descriptions to find the service you need, and click the title of the service.
  4. If the service is requestable online, click on the appropriate button on the right side of the page to access the request form. Your request will be routed to the appropriate technician.

Upcoming myGate Account Changes

On Monday, January 30th, Murray State Information Systems will begin implementing new password expiration rules for myGate, requiring all myGate passwords to be changed. All faculty, staff, and students must change their myGate password when prompted to do so upon logging in. Instructions are in our myGate Password and Account Expiration FAQ article.

This change will be rolling out over the next four weeks. As this change is applied to your myGate account, you will see a warning message when you log in to myGate, Canvas, or any other campus system that authenticates with myGate. This message will prompt you to change your myGate password immediately.

myGate Updates and System Availability

On Sunday, Feb. 19th, myGate will be upgraded to a new version. Passwords will not be affected by this update. However, during the maintenance window of 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM some systems will be unavailable, including:

- Canvas (students and faculty should plan to work around this window)
- myGate
- Alma (Exlibris, Library technology)
- IASystem
- InnoSoft Fusion
- Maxient
- Omni/OU Campus
- Primo (Exlibris, Library technology)
- Scholarship Manager
- SSO Manager (SSB/INB)
- Service Catalog

Along with the new version comes a new look and feel for myGate. The “tabs” currently listed across the top (such as Academics, Employee, and Teaching/Advising) will be moved to the left side of your screen. In addition, the new myGate site is mobile friendly and will adjust to display well on phones and tablets. View an FAQ about these changes.
