Respondus LockDown Browser (for Students and Instructors)

Respondus LockDown Browser (LDB) is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Canvas. When students use Respondus LDB they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. When an assessment is started, students are locked into it until they submit it for grading. It is available for both Windows, MacOS, and ChromeOS.

Installing LockDown Browser:

  1. If you haven't previously installed LockDown Browser, login to Canvas and access the assignment that requires LockDown Browser. Click the "Download LockDown Browser here" link.
