Using FileZilla to Upload Files

FileZilla is used to upload content to the RacerNet webserver. Users will first need an SFTP account. If you do not have one, use the ​​SFTP Account service request. FileZilla can be downloaded for free for PC and for Mac. 

Once installed, use these instructions to setup FileZilla:

NOTE: Steps should be similar for Mac and Windows users.

  • Go to File > Site Manager
  • Click on New Site
    • Host: sftp.murraystate.edu
    • Protocol: SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol
    • Logon Type: Normal
    • User: (This is your Network username)
    • Password: (This is your Network password)
  • Click Connect

You will see your website(s) on the right-hand side. The left-hand side shows the files on your computer. You can now easily move files between sides by dragging/dropping the files.
