Submit a Print Job from Your Device to CampusPrint

MSU has provided four ways for students to submit a print job to the CampusPrint printers:

These instructions will walk you through setting up your personal device to submit a print job to CampusPrint printers. 

NOTE: When using CampusPrint, you must be connected to the MSUstudent wireless network or to the MSU network in order to send print jobs.

Print from a Windows device

  1. Download and run this Mobility Print Printer Setup (pc-mobility-print-printer-setup.exe).
  2. On the License Agreement screen, click Next.
  3. Select the CampusPrint [Virtual Queue](Mobility) option, then click Next.
  4. Enter your MSU network Username and Password; then click Next.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Print your document.
  7. To add more printers, run the downloaded Windows Printer Setup again.

Device Requirements: Mobility Print supports Microsoft Windows 7 and up.

 

Print from a MacOS device

  1. Navigate to System Preferences > Printers and Scanners.
  2. Click the + (Plus) icon under the Printers List.
  3. The Add dialog is displayed. This dialog displays a list of all of the discovered printers on the network.
  4. Select the CampusPrint [Virtual Queue](Mobility) option.
    The Name, Location, and Use is displayed.
  5. Check that Use is set to Secure AirPrint.
  6. If Secure AirPrint is not displayed:
    1. Close the Add dialog.
    2. Disconnect from the network.
    3. Reconnect to the network.
    4. Try again. If you still cannot see Secure AirPrint, contact PaperCut Support.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Print your document. When prompted enter your MSU network username and password.
  9. Repeat for any other required printers.

Device Requirements: Mobility Print supports macOS Yosemite and up.

 

Print from an iOS device (iPhone, iPad)

On iPhones and iPads, Mobility Print works just like AirPrint!

  1. Print your content as described in Apple's article Use AirPrint to print from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. Note that the name of the printer is campusprint (Virtual Queue).
  3. When prompted, enter your MSU network username and password.

Device Requirements: Mobility Print supports iOS 9.2 and up.

 

Print from an Android device

  1. Install the Mobility Print app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Launch the app.
  3. Tap Android settings.
  4. Tap Mobility Print.
  5. Tap the enable toggle.
  6. Exit out of Settings.
  7. Print your document. When prompted enter your MSU network username and password.

The way you print is different depending on the app you want to print from. For more information, see the documentation for the app. When you select a printer, make sure you select the CampusPrint [Virtual Queue](Mobility) option.

If you select the Remember me checkbox, your phone will remember your login details for that printer for one week.

Device Requirements: Mobility Print supports Android 4.4 and up. Supported devices includes Android phones and tablets from Google, Samsung, HTC, Lenovo, LG, Sony, Huawei among others.

 

Print from a ChromeOS device

  1. Install the Mobility Print Chrome app.
  2. Open the page to print.
  3. If printing is available, right-click; then select Print.
  4. Click Change to choose a printer.
  5. Select the CampusPrint [Virtual Queue](Mobility) option
  6. When prompted enter your MSU network username and password.

If you select the Remember me checkbox, your device will remember your login details for that printer for one week.

Device Requirements: Mobility Print supports Chrome OS with Chrome version 43 and up. Supported devices include Chrome Books from Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, and Toshiba.
