Mac Keychain Access Password Reset

After changing your Network Password in myGate or on another computer, your Mac may still prompt you for your Keychain Password. If this happens, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

  1. If you see the following message when logging into your Mac, then click Update Keychain Password
  2. You will then be prompted to enter your Keychain Password. This will most likely be the password you previously used as your Network Password, before changing it in myGate or another computer.
  3. If you have already logged in or do not know your current keychain password, then you can reset it by using the following steps. Click Continue Log In.
    1. Open Keychain Access, which is in the Utilities folder within the Applications folder.
    2. From the Keychain Access menu, choose Preferences.
    3. Click General, then click Reset My Default Keychain.
    4. Restart the Computer (it is very important to restart the computer)
