Activate or Reset a Network Account

Your network account is used for logging on to campus computers and the campus wireless networks. Your network username is the same as your myGate username. You can activate or reset your network account through myGate on the Home tab.

This service is also used for activating student worker accounts. Requests for student worker account activation must come from the student's supervisor. If a supervisor has multiple student worker accounts that need to be activated, the supervisor can fill out this form and attach a spreadsheet with a list of the usernames.

To activate or reset your network account:

  1. If you are on campus and being asked for a network account (username and password), but do not know your network password, you can first log in with the following credentials:
    Username: murray
    Password: racers
  2. Log in to myGate. (For password help, see the related service "myGate Password Reset".)
  3. Locate the "Account Services" channel on the Home tab.
  4. Click on the "CHANGE PASSWORD" button under Consolidated Credentials.
  5. Create a new password following the Password rules. The new password that you submit will become the password for your Canvas, myGate, Network, and RacerMail accounts.
  6. You can now log on to any campus computer with your username and your new network password.
